Superman (2025)

The new Superman movie directed by James Gun that came out in 2025 is amazing and it’s just what we needed. DC movies were not doing so well besides the Batman movies. It seemed like all hope was lost for DC movies until James Gun came in, his creativity was shown in the movie and everybody loved it. This Superman is the newest instrument in this new franchise.
The new Superman is comic accurate, and is also why it’s so highly praised by fans is from his tone and characterization. This Superman movie takes place in Metropolis and it’s the early days of his superhero life, so he has a lot of learning to do mentally and physically. The very first thing we see is Superman beat up and on the floor near his home in the Arctic. We also get introduced to his dog who finds him on the floor and drags him to the Ice fortress of his home. He gets healed from the sun, then flies back immediately to Metropolis and fights the Hammer who is a Meta human (Person with super powers) and a huge monster. Superman gets help from the Justice gang who are Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner (Green Lantern), and Metamorpho; Together they defeat the huge monster.
After the fight, we see that it was Lex Lauther who was controlling it with speech, like telling it how to fight Superman and Dodge his attacks. Lex is the genius billionaire who absolutely hates Superman and throughout the movie tries taking him down by making everybody turn on him. In this movie, there is a war happening between two countries in which is getting funded by Lex. And when the invasion was about to happen, Superman was still fighting his own battle, so the justice gang pulled up and destroys the invaders ultimately putting a stop to the war.
When Superman confronts Lex and gives him a beautiful speech on how he’s human, it was amazing because of how it was shot and the tone. “LexLuthor: You piece of shit, alien!” Superman: That is where you’ve always been wrong about me, Lex. I am as human as anyone. I love, I-I get scared. I wake up every morning, and despite not knowing what to do, I put one foot in front of the other, and I try to make the best choices that I can. I screw up all the time, but that is being human, and that’s my greatest strength. And someday, I hope, for the sake of the world, you understand that it’s yours too.”
This film is a must watch because of how vibrant and colorful the movie is and how the fight scenes are shot. There are almost no cuts, and much of it is all in one shot. The song choices were spot on too, and were implemented great into the movie. There is so much to see in this movie like the world, characters, and etc. The movie made $617 million worldwide, showing that people loved this new version of Superman. Because of the success of this movie, there are gonna be great spin-offs of the characters, like how soon we are getting a Supergirl movie and Clay Face show. I rate this movie a 10/10 because of its similarity to the comic. So if you want to watch a great superhero movie I recommend this Superman (2025).
