The Guthrie Disappearance – Current True Crime

Just two days ago, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was reported missing from her home in Tucson Arizona. After further investigation, Pima County police believe she was abducted.

When Guthrie didn’t show up to her scheduled church visit, people started to get worried. This was not her usual behavior. Additionally, when her family went to her house to see if they could find anything to indicate her possible whereabouts, they discovered her phone was left behind. There were blood stains in various spots around the front of the house. Additionally, after further observation, footage was found on her doorbell camera, showing someone near the entrance of the house, wearing a mask and gloves. The police revealed this person appeared to attempt tampering with the camera, but the footage was still recovered. As for Guthrie’s other security camera, the perpetrator must have taken it away completely.

When the police heard about this case, they went straight into investigating. Since Nancy Guthrie is on the older side, it is unusual for her to disappear like this, they knew it was a serious case.

Many new details have been discovered since when Guthrie initially was reported missing. First of all, many accounts have reported receiving ransom notes. These notes requested a lot of money, while including details about Githrie’s home, as well as what she was wearing when she disappeared. Investigators have not yet determined if these are real ransom notes, coming from whoever has taken Nancy, but will continue to look into the possibility.

One thing to note is that Nancy Guthrie is not just a regular person, she is actually the mother of Savannah Guthrie, who is a very relevant journalist. Savannah, and the rest of her family have publicly shared their worry, and hope that Guthrie is found alive and well, as well as the white house. Trump has offered to provide resources for the case and has released any information that could help lead to finding Nancy.

All in all, the search will continue, but at this point, police wonder whether Nancy Guthrie is still alive. Hopefully she is brought home safe as soon as possible.
